I just started taking biotin today. The multi-vitamin I take had plenty of folic acid in it. I stopped taking the Oxycontin 2 days ago. When I took that, that's when I made the connection. I googled it and sure enough it caused hair loss. Glad I stopped when I did.

I just read an article about having too much iron in your blood. It seems to go along with FM. Maybe have that checked?

If you're taking tramadol, oxycodone, Oxycontin, they can cause hair loss.

I've always been borderline anemic. My doc prescribed more iron for while to get my levels up. Helped me feel more energy. No increase in fibro symptoms.
