I recently had an appointment with a pain clinic here in Windsor, ON. The pills I currently take for pain (Nucynta) do not work. The clinic put together their recommendations for treatment options such as: They want me to discontinue Nucynta. They want me to take Tramadol for pain which they say is approved for use with fibro patients. He also suggested taking Cesamet which is a synthetic cannabinoid at bedtime. If I don't use that option there is another drug Sativex that you inhale like… read more

Members shared mixed experiences with tramadol for fibromyalgia pain, with some finding it helpful when combined with other medications like gabapentin or Tylenol, while others reported side effects including nausea, ringing ears, brain fog, and vivid night terrors that made the medication unusable. Several members mentioned taking tramadol only on particularly bad days to preserve its effectiveness, with many noting it merely takes the edge off rather than eliminating pain entirely. A few members had early positive experiences with Cesamet, reporting slightly reduced pain and increased energy, though concerns were raised about potential side effects and workplace drug testing implications.

I'm taking tramadol right now. The only other scrip I take right now is 5mg of zolpidum to sleep. The tramadol isn't cutting it so I'm going back to the doc tomorrow to try to work out something new. I quit all meds in February because I was so brain dead from them. Then the doc put me on tramadol and zolpidum. It just isn't enough and I'm taking the max dose.

I am thinking I am so bad with pills so the first night i took 1. night terrors . horrible. i thought maybe it was just a fluke so a few nights later tried it again. same thing. few nights later took a half. bad bad dreams, few nights later 1/4 pill, Ok no more for me. NOPE. he was surprised what it did to me. doesn't take much for me. I would be a bad druggie lol
