Who has seen an endocrinologist for FM symptoms? What was suggested? My GI doc said cause of all our health problems associated with FM is Hypersympathetic Sydrome which is basically too much adrenaline. He gave me prescription for IBS but never discuss the root cause and treatment of "Hypersympathetic Syndrome"

Members discussed seeing specialists for fibromyalgia and the theory that FM is linked to hypersympathetic syndrome, an overproduction of adrenaline, with rheumatologists confirming this perspective and prescribing Cymbalta to help balance neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine rather than treating each symptom separately. Several members shared their personal experiences with Cymbalta, noting that while it works well for some, others experienced challenging side effects like profuse sweating and poor sleep even at lower doses, with one member eventually stopping at 90mg daily when side effects outweighed benefits. A recurring theme was the importance of gradually increasing dosage, staying patient during the adjustment period, and recognizing that responses to medication vary widely from person to person.

90 total for the day, I did 30 am, 60 pm, cymbalta makes some people sleep a lot, I was just different😊😊

No I graduated the dosage upward like u r doing. One major side effect was " profuse " sweating. At 90 mg, I wasn't sleeping well and still had pain. It just wasn't worth taking it for me😀. Give it a try, everyone is different!!! I've heard of people who do really well on the higher dose. Keep me posted.

I hope you do well. I got to 90 mg of cymbalta, side effects worse than benefits. But we are all different. I know sone people who do extremely well on cymbalta. It is worth trying.

@A MyFibroTeam Member. Thanks for replying. I'm still wondering were you prescribed to take 90mg once a day? Twice a day? Or did you mean 90mg total for he day?
