Extreme Fatigue
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone get anxious when they get extremely completely exhausted? Like when you're so exhausted that lying down and breathing feels like work. I do not mean anxiety is making me exhausted. I mean being exhausted gives me an anxious feeling- like I need to lie down... I need to lie down now because my body is not going to hold up"

You are right Mayra.. ACCEPTING our limitations is key in reducing anxiety. As I learned over the years, saying no to invitations and other's requests has been a difficult behavior to adjust to. But when I am in pain worse than "normal" or dealing with a health issue I know it is necessary to put myself first and do what I must to take care of me. Learning Mindful Thinking in conjunction with Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapies has greatly improved my ability to decompress, destress and use positive methods to deal with anxiety. That is not to say that when I am in a flare or experiencing an especially stressful situation I don't use medication I do. I have Lorazapam to help at those times when I need some extra help to use the tools I know will get me where I need to be.
God Bless....

No, I do not get anxious. When I am exhausted, I feel like crying and simply go down; must rest and will waje up whenever I feel like. Just give up and rest, don't get anxious. Good luck.

Yes... it is a kind of viscous circle... Pacing yourself in your activities is very important so you can avoid becoming stressed by fatigue. Fatigue is very draining and stresses the whole body including the mind. Take things a bit easier and if possible in parts, with breaks in between. I hope this is something you can do and wish you the best ...
