I Was Referred To A Doctor Of Internal Medicine For My Fibro---does Anyone Else Use One, Or Should I Find A Rheumatologist?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My primary care dr agreed that he thinks I have FM...but he wanted to treat it, and seemed to know little about it. So, I called my rheumatologist who treats my RA and he no longer treats FM and wants to send me to a doctor of Internal Medicine. Any suggestions?

Find a rheumatologist. My Primary Care Physician referred me to one. Working out well.

I have no idea why my rheumatologist stopped treating it. I had not seen him in a while, and when I called they said that he no longer treats FM. Maybe it is due to lack of knowledge and frustration?

My primary is in internal medicine but he sent me to a rheumatologist --- do try to go to one and keep him to treat you; I visit mine every 3/4 months.
