does anyone get dizzy spells, especially when taking a shower or feel so weak that you feel like you can't put your hands over your head to wash your hair. right u r on everything u said. Had Fibro and CF Headaches, dizziness etc.... 4 over 25 yrs my husband of 30 yrs left me because of it. so sad to loose your value of life to FM then to loose your entire family. But like u said u got to keep going!!
Sounds like your having a hard time. I have suffered from this disorder for all my life and still get flack about it. I have had family members say ,,, just get over it or I do it so you can too. I have pushed myself for so many years and still do but I try not to speak anything negative over myself as it truly has a way of causing us to struggle with it as well. PTSD is real but we have to come to terms with our fears and work through them. I have it as well for many different reasons such as sudden death of my brother and mother in 18 months of each other. Also I was comatose for 45 days after my last child was born and died 4 times .. Things happen and we have to get a grip on them before they bring us down. Especially with FM as it attacks the areas of our life which we are having a hard time dealing with. It not only affects us Physically but also psychologically, mentally, and spiritually. People will not give you sympathy for Fm or CFS .. they just say it is all in our heads and/or we are just lazy. I make it a point to just steer clear of cynics. I don't look sick and get it all the time. They have no clue what is going on in my body .. Keep your head up and keep moving. A body in motion stays in motion .. even just 5 mins at a time .. keep moving and keep thinking positive thoughts
I get dizzy spells all the time, I'm also not safe to stand and shower. I was assessment by a OT almost 2 years ago and she wanted me to get a wet room put into my house. I made a compromise and got a seat that goes acoss my bath so I can sit and shower. Due to falls, dizzy spells and mobility problems I am a liability doing it any other way! I never shower without either my husband or my daughter being in the house and they check me every 5 minutes. This may sound extreme but I've experienced some nasty falls. This way I can try and be as independent as possible but stay safe at the same time. Hope this is helpful.
yes many people may thinks its in our head but we know different. A lot of people with this illness sulfur from vertigo and this cause the dizzy spells also .
I also suffer the pain like being stuck with lots of pins and needles in my arms, hands and legs. I describe it as like some one sticking loads of tiny knives into me.
