Does anyone have any tips or tricks for dressing well with the pain of wearing clothes. I've gained a lot of weight since I became ill and I don't fit into any of my nice clothes. Anything I do for into I find painful to wear. I don't want to look like a slob but my PJs are the only clothes I can seem to stand. Any suggestions? Types of clothes? Certain stores that have comfortable and fashionable attire?

Thanks all!

Members shared creative solutions for dressing comfortably with fibromyalgia pain while still feeling put-together, with maxi dresses, cotton leggings paired with tunics, and palazzo pants emerging as the most popular recommendations for their soft fabrics and forgiving fits. Several members mentioned practical shopping tips including Gap for soft leggings, TJ Maxx and Marshalls for affordable options, Logo cotton from QVC for work-appropriate comfort, and everythinghurts.me as a helpful resource specifically for chronic pain clothing. A recurring theme was the collective relief of discovering others share the same struggles with restrictive waistbands, synthetic fabrics, and undergarments, with many members admitting they immediately change into pajamas upon arriving home and prioritize breathable natural fibers over anything with buttons or tight elastic.

I love them to because you can look casual or dress them up with the right accessories. Plus the put the word " comfort" in my vocabulary !

No girls your not the only ones, when I'm at home I go without underwear because they feel like I'm in a bear trap!! I wear them if I'm out but as soon as my key hits the door, I'm pulling them off!

Try yoga pants and a loose top. I don't even wear underwear any more because of the burns from them. Those tight stretchy pants with a loose top or sweater work well.

I have that same problem. I gained weight from cymbalta and gabapentin. Jeans cause my skin to burn and all pants with buttons hurt. I have resorted to wearing palazzo pants they are loose and soft, leggings and wear tunics and some flowy shirts. I recently bought tunic sweater and oversized sweaters for winter. I have to wear business casual and always dressed boho so this worka out well for me

Leggings and tunic style tops are great too. I didn't notice where you live, but if you get really cold like I sometimes do I get leggings that are fleece lined for a little extra warmth in the fall and winter.
