A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else have a severe problem with phantom itching? If so do you know of anything that will help?

Yes on my legs when I shave so I deed shaving now. My boyfriend makes fun of me but I rather take that then suffer with the itchyness. I also have psoriasis thou so it could also be because of that.

I was going nuts from itching. The only thing that works is putting ice on for about 15 minutes. I have tried numerous medications & OTC stuff but nothing work

Every single day. I see a dermatologist. She put me on some kind of allergy (Cyproheptad, maybe) tab 3 times a day, in addition to prescribed itch cream that I use. I will say that neither really give me much relief, but summer and winter are the seasons that don't actually kill me. I will say that I found Allegra to control ALL my allergies best of all OTC medications.

I have had it for years, itch myself raw , I have scars all over my shoulder. I use anti itch cream several times a day to keep it from itching otherwise I'll itch it till it bleeds.
