Mine hasn't budged in three years. I have not had a pain free day since I got it. Some days are more bearable than others but I always feel sore, tired and weak compared to my pre-Fibro self. My Internist told me that it can go away in 2-3 years when he first met me. This gave me hope but from what I read it seems like a lifelong condition.

I highly doubt that is true. You can get better, be in remission, but this disease is chronic, aka for life. Flares will happen.

It is a lifelong. I have searched for ANYTHING to help. I do rub magnesium cream on my feet of morning and before bed. It helps some. Prayer and patience is all I know.

I was told fibromyalgia is a life long condition with no cure as yet.

I believe it!
If one gets to the right doc early, or doesn't give up until she finds one, she CAN get Better.
FM is a chronic disease, but it can be managed.
Due to the overwhelming prevalence of patients with similar complaints, FM is definitely being researched more. It's much more promising now to know that patients will now be diagnosed earlier. Wishing Wellness!
