GABAPENTIN,clonazam,celexa,melotonine, n Cymbalta for me! Prayers n hugs to everyone!

@A MyFibroTeam Member Cymbalta gave me no noticeable relief but did cause me to have major night terrors. I tried for 3 months and then just gave up. I have tried Lyrica twice, once for 6 weeks (no improvement) and then again for about 4 months (no improvement). I also recently tried Tramacet for the pain, but it did not produce any results (other than what I think was an allergic skin reaction). Presently I take amitriptyline at bedtime (it really makes a difference in the quality of my sleep), Pristiq (anti depressant/anti anxiety), and Meloxicam (anti-inflammatory) all on a daily basis. When the pain is bad or I have a flare, I supplement with Toradol as needed. It is the only painkiller that seems to work for me. My chiropractor also uses ultrasound therapy and it works tremendously for me for specific areas that flare. As much as massages can be painful, I find a deep tissue massage, as much as I can handle, really helps as well. Oh yeah! Lots of Absorbine Junior too!

Cymbalta totally got rid of fatigue and pain but it also stole my nouns - like "tables" chairs, etc. Those important vocabulary words that are necessary if you are ever going to use adjectives :) Anyway, got off immediately. Lyrica was also fantastic! No painn, no fatigue, felt more wonderful than I had in years - probably forever - turned out this incredibly medicine was making me higher than a kite - busted, I cried all the way home from that doctor's appt. Using tramadol now for pain and sleep to replace ambien which was always bad for me. My mind doesn't need anymore help towards loosing itself. It helps a bit but when I hurt, nothing that I am willing to try has touched it.

I was diagnosed in 1996 and have tried a large number of meds from Elavil, serzone, zoloft, tramadol, Cymbalta, Lyrica, oxycontin, and more. Nothing worked.... I was on the Duragesic Pain patch for a number of years but am now on Avinza 30 mg. ER....I hate to be on morphine but it allows me to have a somewhat normal life.
