Members connected over the question about finding a doctor in Hamilton or Burlington, Ontario, and the conversation evolved into a supportive discussion about managing fibromyalgia together. Several members shared practical tips including joining a Facebook fibromyalgia support group for the region, and discussed medication experiences like Cymbalta and Mirtazapine causing significant weight gain, with one member successfully losing 45 pounds through Weight Watchers before regaining some weight on a different medication. A recurring theme was the relentless fatigue despite sleeping many hours, the challenge of working full time while managing symptoms, and the need for dedicated rest days to recharge for the week ahead.

Oh that is to bad . My GP has been very good with me but he is sending me to a specialist to see if they know of other treatments as the stuff I have been using either only works for so long or the weight gain is terrible .

Oh you can lose the weight but it comes back just as fast ..lol. I slept until 1:30pm on Sunday what a waste of a day but I have no choice but to catch up on Sunday for the rest of the week ..

No amount of sleep is enough for me either. I always feel drained. I worked full time up until April of this year when our business closed. I worked for my husband so it was more flexible than working for a regular employer. I don't think I could sell myself to a hiring manager at the moment. I feel too unreliable. Somedays, like today, I feel like I'm literally dying. I feel like I can't push myself anymore. It is good to know that weight loss IS possible while on Cymbalta.

I'm on Cymbalta too and I gained a lot of weight . Went to WW watcher and got 45 lbs of but then started Marizapine (don't know If this is spelt right lol) and Gained back 20lbs as so now the battle starts again as I stopped that . I also take Subulox to help me sleep as I still work full time . For me even 12 hrs sleep isn't enough ..
