Fallston, MD

I'm taking 10mg of Lexapro and 50mg of Lyrica. Is anyone else taking these two meds together? What is your dosage? What are your side effects? I haven't gotten much relief from the Lyrica yet. Been on it 2 weeks. Calling the doc today about increasing dosage. I think he started on a low dose because of the Lexapro. I take it for anxiety.

Members shared their experiences combining Lexapro and Lyrica for anxiety and pain, with many noting that while Lexapro helped with anxiety, it often caused weight gain, and Lyrica provided some pain relief and better sleep but came with side effects like dry mouth and brain fog. Several members discussed switching to Gabapentin as a more affordable alternative, with mixed results including improved sleep but also headaches and fatigue in the early days. A recurring theme was the challenge of managing multiple chronic conditions like fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis while navigating medication side effects, insurance coverage, and the frustration of not finding a perfect solution.

@A MyFibroTeam Member. The Lyrica also really helped me with sleep. I can't sleep through the night. But when I was on it I slept a perfect eight. Enjoy the rest!

@A MyFibroTeam Member. Glad to hear that you are trying a cheaper medicine. I hope it works for you. I was unsuccessful on it.
