Some people have been able to get disability. I believe Fibro is now an approved illness for disability. It is not easy to get it though in most states. You need to file an application. Usually you get denied. Then you appeal. And then it is better if you work with an attorney. Most of the attorneys only get paid if you win. I have heard of some people getting disability within a year, but most take 2-5 years. Good luck!

I had to get an attorney also, but it was well worth it. The Social Security Administration officially recognized Fibromyalgia as a disabling condition in July 2012.

it is difficult on just FM. I got disability with FM, heart disease, diabetes, auto immune disease causing hepatitis & arthritis.
