My cardiologist had been trying to diagnose my heart issues for over a year and finally had a dr. friend of his sit in on one of our appointments. After a series of about 11 tests and procedures they came to the conclusion that my fibro was causing my body to release adrenaline when it should not. When the adrenaline was release my heart went into fight or flight mode. Maybe you can ask your doctor about that. (no scientific name for it).

I've experienced this a few times over the past eight years (living with fibro 15 years now). The first time, the pain, symptoms, and test results from the ER indicated that it was all cardiac related. I was put through stress tests which repeatedly gave conflicting results - yes, it was my heart; no, it's not my heart - which would only be resolved by having a heart catheterization. Thankfully, the procedure not only showed my heart to be very, very healthy, but it confirmed what we all suspected - it was all a major fibro flare brought on by work related stress. Now, I just pay attention to the chest aches/pains and watch for any new symptoms. If everything acts like all the previous bouts, then it's fibro. If there's something new, I call my doctor.

wow so many relatable post here. I too had the "3d" of my heart years ago in the beginning of my Fibro journey, at that point I wasn't diagnosed yet. Heart was good, MRI of brain showed lesions, but Neuro said Migraine lesions...and yes the journey led to my fibro diagnosis. Crazy journey....have a blessed day everyone!! Prayed for us all this morning. It has been good to read through the post, helps me understand.

I had reoccurring symptoms of strokes and also had TIA's in the past. I saw my neurolgyist last November and after a MRI scan found out that I had Migraine Aura which mimicked the symptoms of a stroke. I now carry around with me my migraine tablets so glad they found this out as I was always in and out of hospital with what they thought were strokes.
