How do you keep up with the cleaning so you aren't too embarrassed to have people over?
I don't have people over mostly. And when I do, my fiance & daughters help, well they pretty much do it all....lol
Ditto!
I don't because those who care about me the most understand how it is...
I used to very OCD about my house. I had to get over it. My mother lives with me now and helps me a lot. Which is one of the reasons I had to get over my OCD. We have VERY DIFFERENT ideas of what clean is. I used to get up a night a reclean everything but then she would her feelings hurt and say she was here to help me but I wouldn't let her and then I got where I just couldn't do it anymore anyway. If I'm having a good day I usually over it cleaning everything from top to bottom but it doesn't last, especially if the grandkids come over. And I end up flat on my back for a few days as a result. If I know someone is coming, I try to at least surface clean and straighten up. If you are on disability you may be able to help with house cleaning. Even if you only get it once or twice a week to do the deep cleaning that hurts the most like mopping and vacuuming.
I am blessed with daughters and an amazing husband. I used to be OVD about my house now clean clothes makes be feel blessed!
