Plantar Fasciitis
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have Plantar Fasciitis? My feet are killing me lately, especially when I first plant my feet on the ground every morning. After doing some research, I'm pretty sure it is Plantar Fasciitis. I have flat feet and it says that is one of the causes. I will be seeing a foot Dr. to confirm. If anyone else does have this, is there anything that can help the pain I the meantime?

I have plantar fasciitis. It is horribly painful. When you get your feet wet and then walk on dry pavement you should only see your heel and the ball/toes of your feet. I see my whole foot. Mine causes my ankles swell so I have cankles. I have arch supports, foam inserts and heel cups in my tennis shoes. You can use a tennis ball to rub and gently stretch the tendon that is the root of plantar fasciitis. I would not do cortisone shots and surgery is the only other option I'm aware of. You also will not be able to wear lots of cute sandals or shoes because they lack the arch support you need. So.. Therapy with stretching is your best option along with orthotics in your shoes. I wish you the best of luck.. I miss my flip flops and flats so much. I do rebel every so often and say screw it and wear them anyway but I usually end up with my feet in a tub of ice at the end of that day.

I purchased kinso tape for mine. I could not walk without it on my feet. You can get it at most athletic supply stores. It's kind of expensive but stays on for 2-3 days one applied.

I had it for about 8 months I purchased the pads to insert in my shoes that helped tremendously it has since gone away. That was probably the worst 8 months in my life.

Yes I have it to after being electrocuted (EMg) by a nuerurolgist I went to see a foot specialist, he gave me a shot in my foot and in 5 minutes I was walking like myself he made insoles for my shoes and I have not any more problems, that's not to say I won't need any other shot, I was so scared to get out of bed it hurt so bad, hope this helps😀
