Yes but not based on Fibro alone. Depression and anxiety as a result of your illness creating a zero quality of life is the way to go. You need to go to a psychiatrist/psychologist for a paper trail and definitely file your application with an attorney's office. Takes a year or two but with Fibro climbing the list, you just may be approved. Best of luck. After putting in 25 years of work history and losing everything due to my illnesses, I mean everything, I wouldn't be here right now if I did not get approved. It's no way to live after being such a productive member of society for so long. Not easy to live on these payments alone but totally a lifesaver.

Thnx, Terry. I'm discovering that it's a disease/condition of mountains and valleys. Since I can no longer have a traditional job, I've started a Mary Kay business. It allows me to work on good days and stay home on bad ones.

You know, I did get mine, and I am glad I did, and don't regret it or anything. However, it was like another punch in the face as reality again hittting you...."I am disabled". I mean you know it in your heart, but when the government agrees, it just becomes so very real. We need the disability to live, but it sort of makes it hard to fool ourselves any longer.

Well, I think that's pretty damn sad Terry that they keep reviewing you!! Actually makes me quite pissed off!! Not sure what state you live in but maybe it'd be better if you just became an alcoholic/druggie, suicidal, (et I'll stop right there b4 I really start ranting) et you'll get it much, much easier. Or better yet move to good old MN if you don't live here already cuz they get it b4 people with chronic pain...which is bullshit:(

Yes, I applied almost 3 years ago and finally got mine on the first hearing almost a year ago. I had a good lawyer and a PCP that said that I was disabled and would never be able to work again with this disease. I loved working everyday, but sometimes life throws us a curve ball and it doesn't plan out like we hope that it will. Hope this helped you !
