I've used everything under the sun, too many to remember. What works today is Butrans, Amitriptyline, Ativan, multi-vitamins, and Omeg-3..lots of rest, eat healthy, staying away from sugar, caffeine, alcohol. Get exercise, pain or no pain.

Gabapentin, Cymbalta, Amytriptiline . The Gabapentin was the first med that helped, prescribed by my pain management dr. My PCP put me on Cymbalta, which was like a wonder drug for me for about six months. Now it is not working as well as it did but is still helping. And I'm on the Amytriptiline to sleep, prescribed by my pain mgt dr. It gives me 8 good hours of sleep. I hate to be on three such high powered meds but I don't want to go back to the way I felt before I started on them.

I use gabapentin and tramadol. I also work and then rest before I do more work. So plan rest breaks into your day. Oh, and most of all I take an afternoon nap!
