I am in the process of applying for social security disability, I was denied at first then just was denied on reconsideration & now I will be going to meet with a Law Judge. I have about 7 diagnosis that come from MRI reports & 1 diagnosis- fibro that is from my pain management doc., who I have been seeing since 3 months after my back surgery (failed postlaminectomy syndrome. Did I mention that I have an attorney? I haven't been able to work since May 2014. I will not give up, if I get denied again then we will go to federal court. I am unable to work & have worked all my life (except while babies were young) and I have all the credits (points) to received SSdisability since I have always paid in to it. Don't give up, is the only way anyone gets SSD)

I applied for disability myself and was.approved in 10 months. You have to be diagnosed by a specialist for fibro , a bill was passed around may or june stating fibro is an illness that disables you from working a full time or part time job it is incurable. You must be diagnosed by a rheumatologist or orthopaedic a primary physician diagnoses is not excepted. Following your doctor's instructions is another thing that they look for when filing. Medications : you must list them if you are not taking them its know trick to filing it is a matter of going after what is due to you , I filed online @mysocialsecuritu.org it is easy and it will save you money and you can do at your own convenience. I hope this help some one. Pray over it before you press send it worked for me.

It took me about a year and ahalf to get approved but i did it without an attorney. They recently updated the approval rules for those of us with Fibro so i believe its easier to get approved now.

It took me 3 years 2 denials but they also said I was too young.
I really recommend lawyers!
Couldn't have ever done it on my own.
