Members enthusiastically shared their success with magnesium supplements for fibromyalgia pain, with several describing noticeable relief when taking daily doses ranging from 250mg to 400mg, often combined with vitamin D3. Many community members emphasized the importance of choosing the right type of magnesium, as absorption rates vary significantly depending on the form and whether it's taken with protein or other nutrients. A recurring theme was the value of consulting doctors before adding supplements, especially for those on multiple medications, while also encouraging newcomers to research different magnesium types and try what works best for their individual needs.

EJ, I'm new here and can't find the dates on people's posts so if this is old, I apologize.

I've been taking 400mg Magnesium for awhile now but was taking it for my headaches. It helps with so many things! I have noticed in the last year; when I first started getting sick with my fibro, before I knew what it was; that if I missed a day or two of it that I would feel off.

I would recommend that you look online for the different types of Magnesium and learn the best way for them to be absorbed. One of them is only absorbed 4% unless you take it with protein, for example.

Good luck. Hope it helps you.

Hi...I take 400mg magnesium twice a day along with 5000iu of D3. When I don't take it for a couple of days, the pain gradually gets worse. My 29 yr old daughter was complaining of over all body aches so I had her start a regimen of D3 2000iu 2X a day along with magnesium 250mg twice a day and she couldn't believe how much better she feels.

I've been taking Mag Ox since I was diagnosed with a deficiency. Didn't know it had anything to do with fibro. Nice to know. Thanks.
