Members shared mixed experiences with Cymbalta and appetite, with some describing days of complete disinterest in food while others reported fluctuating hunger or even significant weight gain despite reduced appetite. Several members noted that appetite changes were often temporary, with one person losing 15 pounds during a clinical trial and another experiencing initial appetite loss that returned within a few weeks, while others attributed their eating patterns more to pain and fatigue than the medication itself. A recurring theme was the importance of eating consistently to take other medications safely, even when hunger is absent, and being aware that Cymbalta can affect both appetite and weight in unpredictable ways.

I was like that for 3 weeks. One of cymbalta so side effects is weight gain. It is also very hard to get off, there is withdrawal lawsuits going on

yes, I took Cymbalta in the past and lost about 15 pounds I just was not hungry, I participated in a study to see if FDA would approve Cymbalta for fibro. I felt better while on the study but did not feel much pain for anything a bump, scrap or any other type of hurt kinda scared me and never asked to be put on it once it was ok for fibro patients

I don't think that's the cymbalta. But some days I'm just so tired and in so much pain that food is very unimportant.

I have days where I don't have an appetite but I make sure I eat something because of my other medications I have to take with food.
