My fibro fog is horrible. I hate this more than I do the pain. It scares me... that I will end up with Alzheimer's disease. My short term memory loss makes me forget important things, and friends and family get mad at me. They think I do it on purpose. It effects my driving, and I have almost been in an accident from it. One day I got my mind on something, my husband yelled, and I looked up and I was on the wrong side of the road. He ask me if I blacked out. I couldn't tell him what happen.
When I talk to people, I stumbble over my words, can't remember what I am trying to say... I could go on it is so embarrassing and ridiculous.
Go to a doctor and take your husband. I was in a fog for a month and it wasn't until it was over it that my family realized I couldn't help it. I made my son and his fiance read this site so they would know what I am going through.I would do that. You need to go to a pain center or rheumatologist so you can get diagnosed. Good luck and God Bless!!
@A MyFibroTeam Member @A MyFibroTeam Member This happens to me too. I am so confused right now as my husband gets angry or speaks to me in disbeleif when I can't remember something that he remembers! VERY FRUSTRATING AND EMBARRASSING, as I know he thinks I shouldcremember it because I know it!! At that moment in time I can't remember it at all, my mind is blank and I feel very hurt that he thinks I am just saying it! It is very embarrassing and is making me feel like I don't want to talk to him or anyone in case I can't remember something important or something I was talking about! Also, I get lost when I go out on a route I am fully aware of as I drive it regularly, but a few times I have just sat there not knowing which way I should go! I haven't got a diagnosis yet and that is frustrating me too. Xxx
I suddenly have typing dyslexia... I will be typing and type og instead of go. or ot instead of to. Drives me crazier than I all ready am. haha
@A MyFibroTeam Member Thank you for your the advice. I went to a Rheimatogist and she was rubbish, she didn't really listen to anything I said. She kept going on about muscle strength and focused on an ongoingvankle problem I have. I have spoken to my husband and family about how I feel Abbs about their insensitivity and they have read up on the Internet about it all so all understand a little more and are trying to be more helpful. My problem is still the diagnosis as I'm not sure what is is I have? I had a bad fall last night and hurt my shoulder, back, hips and kegs and today has not been good. This site is a great source of help and inspiration. Thanks again. Jayne Xxx
