Members shared mixed experiences with gabapentin for fibromyalgia, with some finding significant relief from nerve pain, restless legs, and morning stiffness at various doses, while others reported no benefit or troubling side effects like weight gain, dizziness, and extreme drowsiness. Several members described gabapentin as most effective when combined with Cymbalta or other medications, noting that it often takes weeks to see results and that missing doses can trigger painful flare-ups. A recurring theme was the highly individual nature of medication response, with members encouraging trial and error under medical guidance while acknowledging the frustration of managing multiple prescriptions and their cumulative effects on weight and energy.

Yes, I have been taking Gabapentin 300 x 3 daily for about three years. It was the first thing that really helped. I sometimes forget to take my afternoon pill and A couple hours later I will be in so much pain. So try to take your pills at the same time every day.

I currently take 300mg of it 3x a day along with 100mg of tramadol 3x a day. It seems to be helping me. I do notice that if i miss a dose, which i have done twice since being on this dose, by time i get home from work, my legs start hurting within an hour of being home, the same pain that got me put on this meds. So i try to not miss any doses now. When i first started it, i was on 100mg 3x a day and 50mg tramadol 3x a day. Took my first dose at 3pm, by 5pm i was ready for a nap lol But now it doesnt even make me sleepy nor have i gained any weight, if anything, i lost 14 pounds between may and july and dont know how lol

Dr just uped my gabapentin to 200mg 3 times a day. I've been taking it morning, afternoon and nighttime. I believe it's helping.
