I find that when I'm flared up, I can't get a nights sleep. I just get short naps here and there because I'm so exhausted. Does anyone else have this issue?

I have never been good at sleeping for as long as I can remember. Issues of sleepwalking as a child and then just not being able to shut down once I got older.
Once diagnosed with fibro I was prescribed meds for sleep and it helped me fall asleep and stay asleep longer.
When I am in a flare or stressed out the meds don't help. That's where I have been for about the last 2 months. So yes I agree that flares drain you so much you can't sleep and you wake more through the night due to the pain.
Thank you for the non-pain flare reminder. Sometimes you forget everything that comes with the nasty abbreviation FIBRO.

Yes. I call 4-5 hours of straight sleep a good night. Usually it's a series of 1 to 1 1/2 hour naps

I am on flexeril, klonapin, percoset, trazadone... none of it helps me sleep.
