There are studies out that are saying that fibromyalgia has been found to be a lifelong central nervous system disorder what does everyone think? Good or bad. Just wanted to see how we are all taking this study.

Very good points in the article. On some level it makes some sense. I always found that narcotics made my pain worse even as a child/teen when I had an injury (which was quite often). One time Mom quit giving me the narcotic pain meds they gave us and I felt much better than I did on them, so after that we stuck with anti-inflammatories and skipped the narcotics for me.
@A MyFibroTeam Member what is his treatment?
The doctor who wrote the protocol that I have been on for 16 years , believes that fibro is a retention disease similar to gout. He is an endocrinologist and his treatment works. It gave me my life back. This doctor has also been involved with the blood marker studies at City of Hope Medical Center. They hypothesize a hereditary and familial component.
@A MyFibroTeam Member we sure do know more. Most of us are constantly searching for answers; reading all the research and studies.
This study is over a year old, yet they still prescribe these drugs. I am convinced that we know more than they do.
