I had them in my lower back. I did have relief for a few weeks. I also shots in my left hip, which only lasted for a few days. The pain clinic told me today that sometimes it taks several injections before seeing long-term effects.
Had trigger point injections several years ago by a pain management Doc and didn't get much relief but when you are hurting any relief is appreciated.
I work with a PA that is willing to let me try what treatments I think may help. I have let her do trigger point injections on me several times. They aren't a cure but they sure do help.
Thanks. I just had another injection a few weeks ago and it worked well. I am on a lot of mess also but the best one is Lyrica 150mg twice a day better than any narcotics I used to be on. Hope this injection lasts a long time.
I went for trigger point injections yesterday. I have had them 3 times now and they do seem to work for about 4-7 weeks. You feel like a truck has hit you for a couple of days afterwards but for me they work really well. The doctor said to me yesterday that I am on all the meds that I can possibly be put on so now I really do have to just hope these shots work well.
