since 2003 my beginning diagnosis of fibro I have experienced a lot of weight gain and it's really hard for me to lose weight but I seem to no matter what I do gain a lot of weight and basically the doctors are saying I retain a lot of water what is what can I do to lose weight

you need to see an endocrinologist. it may be your thyroid. even though it shows in normal range it can still be slow. many women with fibro has thyroid problems. i bet you may have hashmitos. i am an lpn and doing a lot of research on this subject. please tell your dr you want to see an endocrinologist for further testing.

I found the seratonin meds lead to weight gain. Lyrica, savella, cymbalta, amatrypiline, even gabepentin.

I agree about seeing an endo - I am also hypothyroid even though my thyroid counts seem "normal" everyone it different in spite of what some doctors will tell you and while my weight has fluctuated over the years - I am finally somewhat stable in my weight. A good Endocrinologist is worth their weight in gold - truly. I hope you start feeling a little better soon.
