Does Anyone Else Have Mood Swings?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

In the past several months,I have been having mood swings, and very short temper.it seems like I'm quick to anger, and very intolerant of people.that's just not normal for me....is it part of having fibro?

I am less tolerant of annoyances. I didn't know it was related to fibromyalgia until I read up about it. I could listen to loud music one day then the next rip my husband's head off for playing loud music. Just being more aware of it has helped but it is tough.

Does your insurance not help cover the cost? I hate that! I'm so very grateful for mine,I am disabled,so have medicare...I know for me,that I get in these " slumps" ,depressed, aggravated, and just want to throw in the towel.....BUT then,I wake up,and say WHAT THE HECK? ! I'm an Aries, and a fighter,so NO,NO,NOPE! not today,I'm stronger than all this...so I make myself get out there, take baby steps if you have to,take 5 min.at a time,to do SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY,AND DO IT.....or,not....its easy to give up,but for ME,I'm NOT THAT PERSON. God gave me this life for a reason,,,and who am I to waste it away?

Lolololol.....wow! Matter of fact my Dr.just put me on Viibryd,a few months ago,and I really like it.I took prozac and wellbutrin together for years, and needed a change,so that's what he put me on.I only pay like 7.00 for mine with my insurance,so don't know how much it is without it...I can tell that its helping me already though.....as far as the other,,,,,,lolololol,,,,I say....get outdoors as much as possible, even if its doing something you don't like, just being outside, makes me feel better....if you can't walk a lot at the zoo, then find you a cool place to sit,and just sit and watch ppl ,and if you don't like to bowl,go anyway, and watch others bowl, its the fact that your getting out there, not in bed,and for me,fresh air and sunshine is THE BEST MEDICINE I CAN FIND....

I have dealt with Fibromyalgia since 3015 and I can honestly say that living with chronic pain has disrupted almost every aspect of my life. Living with Chronic Pain can impede one’s ability to work and participate in daily activities as well as social activities like we did before Fibromyalgia. This in turn impacts relationships with family and friends which in turn can cause feelings of isolation, frustration and anxiety. So yes…. Mood swings are part of the disease.
