You all know OxyContin is highly addictive if take it daily? OxyCotin lasts in your body for 48 hours. There is a new finding that Tramadol is addictive. I slowly withdraw from my Tramadol that I was taking four times a day.

I am not going to debate anyone on the aspect of medicine being addictive or not, necessary or not. I have been on some sort of medication from the time I was 14. All very legal and prescribed by a licensed physician. I take my medication as prescribed I do not abuse it. I have a physician that I trust very much and the only one he worries about me getting addicted to is the Butorphanol nose spray for my migraines. I have asked him point blank about addiction. He said that the reports skew the results and I would have to take a hell of a lot more than the amount he gives me for 30 days. He said I would have to take 30 days worth every day and he is not worried about me. The advice he told me about when people started preaching that STUFF to me is to leave it run off my back. He also said that I am in pain and I have a right to not be in that pain.
Enough said!!!!

to ToniMatesToothaker I'm sorry if I offended you. I want you to be comfortable. There is some doctors don't tell their patients until it's too late. I don't want that to happen to anyone. I want everyone to know all the facts so they can make the right choice for them.

I was on oxycontin m (slow release) and oxynorm (quick release), but they did nothing for me. I came off them and started dihydracodine which helped but not much. Then my pain specialist who is Australian prescribed clamazapam (I think that's what it's called) which is a mild muscle relaxant, and a tablet called tapentadol. My doctor has never heard of it but it defiantly works. I think when they put the dose up next time I think I will be nearly there. They are tablets they give when nothing else works. Gentle hugs and lots of love. Stay safe and keep warm. xXxXxXxXx

As one of us has mentioned, all drugs are toxic and have side effects. Even OTC drugs.
