Hello Cyndi, hope you are having a relaxing,low/no pain, enjoyable Sunday afternoonπ In answer to your question, definitely yes, I have dealg with that issue every month since 1996 and it is NOT pleasant! I suspect that the "normal" chemical changes that go on during a cycle and cause swelling, cramping, nausea, headaches, insomnia, etc. are actually amplified by the FM which then amplifies the cycle issues and round and round they go! This leads to a very rough situation in terms of the physical pain, etc.
and if you don't have the means to ease the symptoms...well, it makes for a very difficult, long, and unpleasant day/night and so on. The good news is that it can be predicted and addressed well BEFORE it gets out of hand. So, once you know for sure that your FM is going to flare (badly) at that time of the month, you can talk to your provider about what options (meds, rest, heat, exercise, etc.) work best for you to minimize the suffering and allow you to stay connected to your life. Good luck, I hope this helped, happy Spring! ππΏπππ±π·ππ£ππ
Yes I am in absolute agony, my period is heavier than even and very erratic. Most of the time I have to spend a day in bed on the day that I start my periods.
Sounds perfectly normal because of the hormone levels in your body. See an Endocrinolgist
I am going thru menopause but still get my monthly signs as far as cramps and junk, and yes I notice I suffer from flareups around that time also
OMG! YES, YES, YES! That is my worst time every month. Which, then also drives my mood down a bit, too.
