On average my flare ups last about two wks. Is this pretty norm for anyone else?
Mine last for about a week then I get a grip on the pain and adjust my mind to it and fight on. I WILL not let it control my life, I can't I have a hubby who Has trouble getting dressed, something to eat and to take his meds. So like a true warrior I fight the pain back and carry on. Its all how you learn to deal with it and how long you've had it.
I have CFS/FMS and MPS. Flare ups used to last week's or months but I've been in a constant flare since 2008. It sucks. And then when the cold weather comes....it get even worse. I'm at a consistant pain level of 7 give or take one number.
Mine used to last approx 6 months of not being able to get out of bed, but getting better at recognising my limits and managing stress so flare ups tend to last anywhere from 24hrs to 6 weeks, it's now rare for me to take to my bed. Having said that last week i slept most of the weekend.
I agree. I have had it for 11 years but other autoimmune diseases and I learn to deal with the aches and pains, but cymbalta has really help my pain, Now I ache but not have pain.
With my Chronic Fatigue I'm always flared up, it never goes away. My Fibro symptoms usually come in the form of feeling like I have the flu. I don't have the fibro as bad, but it aches mainly in my shoulders, upper arms and back, hips, knees and the bottoms of my feet and those bouts usually just last a couple of day, but sometimes they will hurt all at one, sometimes it'll pick a spot where it wants to hurt.
