Whenever I'm about to get a headache and am near light (sun or headlights or police lights), I tend to get auras right before. However, sometimes they seem to not be associated with the headache at all.
I get migraines with auras. Sometimes just the aura, which is flashing lights just on the side of my field of vision. I may get nauseous, smells can trigger it, flashing lights trigger and loud noises. I sometimes lay in my closet.
Melanie I use to get migraines all of the time as well I have TMJ continuous jaw pain that I wear a retainer at night but one doctor recommended I start taking a low grade blood pressure pill I started with 1/2 a one and my migraines went away now I take a whole one and I hardly ever get them now.
I get auras and not the headache sometimes and other times I just get the headache. The aura starts in my peripheral vision and moves to the center of my vision and then moves out. Takes about an hour and then the headache.
I get extreme drowsiness before a migraine, just cant stay awake
