I have alot of medication sensitivities due to the Fibro and also because I have chronic pancreatitis that was caused by a blood pressure pill. One problem I have is trying to sleep due to my feet and now lower legs burning like they are on fire, and if anything rubs them, it feels like they or it is rubbing a severe sunburn. Does anyone know something that will help the burning sensations other than medications that I cannot take. I have even tried turning sideways and putting my feet up on the… read more

Members shared practical strategies for managing the intense burning sensation in feet and legs caused by fibromyalgia, with many noting how challenging it is to find relief, especially at bedtime. Several members suggested topical solutions like lidocaine, Voltaren gel, menthol-based pain sprays, and homemade herbal creams, while others found relief through physical approaches such as foot massagers, ice packs wrapped in towels, Epsom salt soaks, or blanket lifters to keep bedding off sensitive skin. A recurring theme was the understanding that relief is often temporary and requires trial and error, with members offering encouragement and empathy while emphasizing the importance of finding what works for your own body.

FYI .. I found something that helps the burning sensation in my feet, at least long enough to get to sleep... it's a spray called " Pain Spray" it's fdor temporary relief of minor aches and pain. It contains Mentol 7% as the main ingredient. It does not take all the burning away, but it makes it tolerable until I can sleep. :)
It also helps with the tension headaches if I spray it on my neck and shoulders.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Personally Kaylene I think that once this affects your feet you are in for a whole lot of issues. The nerves end or start at your feet and your hands, with the walking on your feet would cause aggravation that is inescapable because you need to walk. Try to soak your feet in Epsom salts and then put some ice on them for twenty minutes. It should calm them down for a while. Gentle hugs
