Members responded to a question about using mobility devices by sharing that many rely on canes, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, and scooters depending on their pain levels, balance issues, and the distance they need to travel. Several members described the practical benefits of these tools, including preventing falls, managing dizziness and back pain, and making it possible to participate in family outings and daily activities like shopping. A recurring theme was the importance of flexibility and self-compassion, with many members keeping multiple devices on hand to match their needs on any given day and acknowledging that accepting help from mobility aids allows them to stay active and engaged rather than being limited by their conditions.

I use a spectrum of mobility devices depending on how I am that day. It can range from a cane, to forearm crutches, to a rollator, to a wheelchair. It is good to give yourself options so that even on a bad day I can get out and move around somehow

many people I know they do not quite understand what pain I do have. My sister is 63 years old and in perfect health I am happy for her I would not want her to go through the pain I go through. She feels for me and will do anything for me, but she does not have this pain.
