I have had it done back in 2003. The only thing I can tell you is I lost over 150 pounds. The bad part I regained it all. I thought it was just me but eating habits are still very good. My Mother had the surgery in 07 and she as well is in the same postion she has gained her weight back.

Same here in 2003, I lost 130 but ended up regaining 3/4 of it. Same happened with my mother too. She had hers back in the early 1980's though. Big letdown...but I would redo it in a heartbeat. In hopes that it works the 2nd time around.

I read that surgery can set off major fibro reactions, I went for a pneumonia shot upon the advice of my primary and have been sick since January 16th, I completed 2 of 3 epidural injections for bulging discs and spinal stenosis, the recovery from each procedure took a minimum of two weeks, I couldn't continue with the third surgery.
