Has Anyone Else Developed A Fear Or Dread Of The Nighttime ?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

I've wondered about this issue for sometime now but didn't know how to word it so it makes sense. I know we all have trouble with our sleeping at night
Finally I thought, " just say it like it is" so here goes. Every day when I realize that dusk is coming,.I start to actually get anxious and dread seeing the darkness come. This wasn't too bad in my early diagnosis but in the last year or so it's turning into a fearful, anxiety filled drama. I know I'm going to have trouble with sleep, and it's… read more

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

I just got diagnosed a few weeks ago with Fibromyalgia. I have had scalp tenderness on and off for years. I've talked to a few of my doctors about it. No one has given me answer.

Swallowing Problems And Food Getting Stuck In Your Throat
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

Does anybody else have swallowing problems, where when you eat and go to swallow food gets stuck in your throat, food won't go down, not even with water, and can't cough it up! It's happened several times to me. Was wondering if this could be something like MS, or Lupus, or was just wondering if anybody else has swallowing problems? Any information helpful! Will need to go see the Dr anyway at some point!

A MyFibroTeam Member

I read about this problem on the fibro information page. I can't remember what it said but fibro can affect your muscles and your swallowing.

How Would You Describe You Fatigue To A Non-fibro Sufferer?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

I suffer with fatigue more than pain, or maybe I manage/cope with the pain better than I cope with the fatigue.

I have well-meaning friends who say things like “how’re you sleeping” or “have you tried lavender?”... etc and I get so frustrated that people don’t understand, it’s irrelivant how much sleep I’ve had, it does not refresh me and I’m still fatigued, day in, day out, no matter what I do or don’t do.

One description I’ve come up with is “it’s so tiring to move and my body feels so… read more

The best way I describe chronic fatigue is I feel like I was just administered anesthesia! I have fibro also so I'm in pain 24/7. Sometimes I can push through the pain but I have not found anything to… read more

Can Anyone Help With Suggestions On How To Win The Disability ?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

I saw many doctors, have been diagnosed with Fibro. I have tried every specialist recommended from Rheumotologist to pain managements. I've been on so many prescriptions with no benefits. I quit a job that I made a career of for 24 years due to my many health issues, memory lapse, and being so sensitive to noise & crowds. (Total opposite of the real me , or how I use to be). I tried to apply for Disability, but was denied . I hired a Disability Lawyer, and still have been denied. The reasonings… read more

Does Fibromyalgia Get Worse As Time Goes On?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question đź’

Has anyone found that their fibro has got worse over time?

A MyFibroTeam Member

I got better after 5 years. Not cured but better. Probably the most helpful thing is I take trazadone for sleep. Getting 7 hours of sleep most nights is huge!
