This morning I went to work and hit a wall of fatigue after just a few hours. I felt better after lunch. I had a stressful situation with one of my 5th graders. The icing on the cake was an email from my principal reprimanding me for a situation that occurred in a 2nd grade classroom last week. I was substituting for a teacher while she tested students in another classroom. The student is unruly and disrespectful but she didn’t like the wording I chose to write about what happened
I am done.… read more

A teacher shared her frustration and exhaustion after a hard day at work, including being reprimanded by her principal, and expressed a desire to resign. Many community members offered warm encouragement, validating her feelings while sharing their own experiences with unsupportive workplaces in teaching and nursing. A recurring theme was the importance of protecting your peace, weighing financial realities carefully, and taking time to explore all options before making a big decision.

@MyFibroTeam users... you are so thoughtful and I appreciate you all. I had a good therapy session last night and realized how strong I am. I love the money and that is something I have to accept that if I resign I will be taking a huge pay cut. I still have a car payment. I could make money on the side and tutor. But it still wouldn’t come close to my pay right now. Also the VA healthcare system sucks I have heard. So maybe I just learn how not to give a damn and muddle through. I have time to think…..
Thanks again for listening ❤️

Thanks @A MyFibroTeam Member I appreciate your response. I actually have a great position as a reading teacher. It’s not as much work as keeping up with an entire classroom and 20+ students. I’m still weighing my options…. But I appreciate your kind words. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wow.. she didn't like the wording you used. Some people are also on power trips . It's enough to turn one's stomach. I'm glad I'm not working anymore.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I think you’re courageous, brave to be in school systems. They are not the most supportive to teachers and how hard there jobs are.

During college years, I worked at an elementary school. During recess, a boy & a girl, starting stripping their clothes off, and were pretending the sex act! At 19, it scared the pieces out of me! Of course I was fired. Never taught voice in school systems. Taught privately…even then, there we’re situations with certain parents.😬

Remember, you can’t control others only yourself.❤️‍🩹🙏
