The dr prescribed cream to rub on the area when this happens. While I have become accustomed to these fibro flare up it weakens my body. I am bedridden. I crochet which helps me some as a lot of my crochet I donate. It helps me emotionally as I’m helping others. But, at times the flare up is sooo long it weakens my body and I have to sleep it off.
You basically have to take fibro one day at a time.

Yes, other MyFibroTeam members have shared similar experiences with nerve pain triggering fibro flares that leave them bedridden and exhausted. Flares are one of the most talked-about topics in the community. The prescribed pain cream your doctor gave you is a recognized option for localized fibro pain relief. Some MyFibroTeam members have found real benefit from prescription pain gels, though experiences vary β€” some find great relief while others need to try different approaches.

A few things that may help during long flares include:

- Rest without guilt β€” sleeping it off, as you do, is valid
- Gentle distraction like crocheting to engage the mind
- Topical creams as prescribed for localized pain
- Tracking triggers to better anticipate flares

Your "one day at a time" mindset is honestly one of the most powerful tools there is. You're not alone in this. 🌿
