This may seem like a silly question. I’ve been going to physical therapy for a couple of weeks now and I don’t feel any better than before. Is it just supposed to keep the “juice in the joints” moving?

Hi lore💖 this isn't a silly question
For the time bring I have stopped physical therapy and I can tell.
I've lost muscle strength and flexibility. I'm planning on returning once I recover from a fall I made when I was on very unstable ground trying to get my cats attention😺
Pt helped me to gain some balance back and they taught me how to walk again after losing that ability for about 2 years. It is a painstaking process. But I took my first steps with them and I continue to be able to do so . I'm unbalanced at times and wobbly.however, it's a major win. I practiced heal to toe walking and that gave me the confidence to be able to attempt towalk again You can follow it at home and try it. I have pt exercises I follow at home now. I don't think it ever took my pain away but for other people it does. For me it was balancing me better and giving me flexibility.and learning to rebuild my strength and confidence. ☯️😉
I found PT of no help whatsoever. I have tried PT 4 different times at 4 different locations. For me, it actually ‘stirred up’ my joints. It’s not supposed to. The various therapists were puzzled also. Just my experience.
I hope you have success and relief.
PT is finally helping me. I found the right therapist. I had 24 hours a day of pain and now it is down to about 2 hours a day. I do the work and it is helping. Getting the right diagnosis helps too.
I just finished PT and it helped. My therapist is great. First, my old therapist misdiagnosed me years ago. I kept doing the stretches and exercises and they weren't helping. When I went to my new PT he told me I was misdiagnosed and I now know he was right. I went from pain every waking moment to about 90% relief. I still will have to do the stretches but I can cut back some. It was worth it for me.
Not a silly question. They had me try pt when I was first diagnosed and for me personally it did more harm than good, but everyone is different and it may help some.
