Trevor if you are having seizures you need to go to a neurologist and get an EEG of your brain to see what type of seizure activity you have and get on the right medication for them.

Can fibromyalgia feel like a seizure?

Fibromyalgia doesn't typically cause seizures, but some symptoms can feel alarming and unusual. Some members describe experiencing sudden muscle twitches, jerks, or spasms that might feel startling or intense.

One MyFibroTeam member described experiencing muscle twitches and jerks just as they were falling asleep, which felt scary and kept them awake with pain. These sensations, while unsettling, are related to muscle spasms rather than actual seizures.

Common fibromyalgia symptoms that might feel intense or sudden include:

- Muscle cramps and spasms
- Sudden muscle jerks or twitches
- Anxiety or panic attacks that can cause physical sensations like rapid heartbeat
- Internal tremors or jitters

If you're experiencing symptoms that concern you or feel like seizures, it's really important to talk to your doctor right away. They can help determine what's causing these sensations and ensure you're getting appropriate care.
