You should be tested for covid when I had covid I had a dry cough with throat spasms. There are home kits you can get.

Some blood pressure medications can cause a cough as a side effect. You should notify your doctor about it, maybe get a Xray to make sure you don't have asthma or something like that.

I've had a dry cough for almost a year and have mentioned it to my primary care doctor but he basically just dismisses it.

It is sporadic but still daily.
