Has anyone experienced hair loss with fibro, and could fibro be causing it?

Hair loss isn't typically listed as a direct symptom of fibromyalgia itself. However, hypothyroidism, which you mentioned having, is a known comorbidity of fibromyalgia and is a common cause of hair loss.

Since you have hypothyroidism, that's more likely the culprit for your hair loss rather than fibromyalgia directly. Thyroid hormone levels play a crucial role in hair growth, and when they're out of balance, hair loss can occur.

It's important to have your thyroid levels checked regularly to ensure your hypothyroidism is being properly managed. If your levels are off, adjusting your thyroid medication might help with the hair loss.

Additionally, being postmenopausal can contribute to hair thinning due to hormonal changes, so you may be dealing with multiple factors at once.

Talk to your doctor about checking your thyroid function and hormone levels to pinpoint the cause and explore treatment options that might help with hair regrowth.
