I recently bought a pillow on Amazon and I haven’t awakened with a headache since, except for a migraine. This one, you can remove some of the filling until it feels right. Wish I knew the name of it 😕. If I can find out, I’ll let you know.
So much good advice here. I hope you will release the feeling of complaining.
I think this group is probably exceptionally well versed in pillow and sleep woes! 🫠
I have a tendency to curl up tight, which wrecks my neck and whole body. Postural concerns are always a great place to start.
I have gone through my share of pillows. But that posture makes the biggest difference for me.
I sleep on my left side. Having a pillow to support my right side and pillow (sometimes a rolled towel) between my legs makes all the difference for me.
Maybe look up some reading on sleep posture. You can check your neck alignment with your pillow to see if it your pillow or maybe more postural.
Good luck!! 💛
I've recently bought a new pillow that has shredded foam (like memory foam) inside plus a ... Squishmallow. It helps support my head when I'm reading in bed.
I cannot sleep on my side because of the sciatic pain from falling over backwards from a height and falling on my left hip and I can't sleep on my right side because of the neck injury and no disc space. I just get a towel and fold it. There's a lot of YouTube videos on how to fold a towel. I used to use the Japanese pillow that was filled with buckwheat hulls and it was pretty comfortable because you can really mold it the way you want. However, one time when I traveled I forgot to bring the travel size Japanese pillow to the motel and I maid do with a rolled up towel and Wonder of wonders, it worked well for my neck.
Is it your neck, or certain body areas, or both? I have a good mattress that I like . If your mattress is uncomfortable, you’re not going to feel good or sleep well . I have used the Tempur-pedic pillow for decades now. I think I’m on my sixth one. It’s the only thing that keeps my neck in alignment. Otherwise I have terrible neck trouble. It’s two firm in the beginning so I put it behind me on the couch for a while until I break it in. I always buy the Tempur-pedic travel pillow and use it between my knees. They aren’t cheap, but it does a trick for me …and they last a long time.
