Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing nausea during severe pain episodes, with many explaining that the body releases endorphins and adrenaline during high pain which can trigger nausea, and that pain medications themselves can also contribute to the problem. Several members shared practical remedies that have helped them, including prescription anti-nausea medications like Zofran, ondansetron, and metoclopramide, over-the-counter options like Nauzene chewables, and natural alternatives such as ginger ale, ginger tea, and peppermint. A recurring theme was the importance of working closely with doctors to find the right medication combination, recognizing that bodies can build tolerance over time, and being willing to try different approaches including dietary changes, adequate rest, and alternating between medications when one stops working effectively.

Yes, ginger or peppermint. Chamomile gives me a stuffy nose. My daughter can't tolerate it either.

No, but try peppermint or ginger for nausea. I avoid chamomile tea because it makes me nauseous

Yes all the time. Endorphins and adrenaline are released during high pain and it can make us very sick.

Try cutting out gluten if you don’t already. It causes inflammation. Any auto immune illness should be gluten free. Good luck. This should slow down and eliminate flare ups. Make sure you rest plenty ‘ positive resting’ 😘
