Members widely related to experiencing chronic tension and pounding headaches at the base of the skull and neck, with many describing it as an all-day, everyday occurrence that can be nauseating, dizzying, and severely disruptive to sleep and daily activities. Several members shared practical relief strategies, including using microwaveable rice bags or heating pads, alternating ice and heat, acupuncture, gentle neck massage, deliberately relaxing the jaw, brushing hair to release tension, and using spiky acupressure mats with neck support. A recurring theme was the frustration of finding little help from medications alone and the importance of experimenting with different comfort tools and self-care techniques to manage this debilitating symptom.

Get a microwaveable rice bag. Warm it and dape it around your neck. The heat should release some of the tension in your muscles.
