Members shared a wide range of remedies that have helped them manage headaches and migraines, with many finding relief through prescription medications like Naproxen, Amitriptyline, Ubrelvy, Ajovy injections, and Imigran, as well as preventive treatments like Botox. Several members highlighted the importance of magnesium supplementation (especially magnesium glycinate) taken in the evening, staying hydrated with electrolytes, and using cold or heat therapy applied to the head and neck. A recurring theme was identifying personal triggers like stress, smells, and heat, and tailoring treatment accordingly, whether through medication, massage, pressure techniques, or lifestyle adjustments.

I forgot to add that my doctor recently recommended magnesium; she'd just attending a workshop taught by neurologists. She said that there were different types of magnesium and I should try some out and see what I tolerated. Magnesium citrate, for example, can cause some G.I. issues when increasing the dose. So, I'm still in learning mode about magnesium but I've started taking it.

I would make sure that you're not experiencing migraine so that you can get help that's specific to your needs. I hope you feel better. It has been quite a journey for me and it is ongoing, but I was finally prescribed a medication that helps a lot.
