Members shared what exercises work for them when living with fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, and severe arthritis, with the common theme being to start slow and listen to your body. Several members found relief through swimming and aqua classes, chair exercises, yoga, stretching, tai chi, short walks, and even dancing to music at home. A recurring theme was the importance of working with a physical therapist or doctor before starting any program, and finding joy in movement, whether through a pet, music, or what one member beautifully called 'weightless joy' in the water.

I wasn’t moving much and felt worse. After I got my puppy, I suddenly became much more mobile and even walking. Sure I still have pain and exhaustion issues…I rest frequently and just being around my dog brings a smile! She is a terrific distraction for me! Sometimes I put music on which makes me want to dance. Can’t do it very long, but it feels liberating!
