Members shared a wide range of medications they use to manage fibromyalgia pain, with gabapentin being commonly mentioned at various doses, though experiences with duloxetine were notably negative, with several members reporting severe side effects like extreme drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth, and constipation that led them to discontinue it. Several members described finding relief through combinations of medications including Lyrica, Effexor, oxycodone for breakthrough pain, and CBD capsules, while others noted they cannot take certain medications due to allergies or tolerability issues. A recurring theme was the highly individual nature of medication responses and the trial-and-error process of finding what works, with members emphasizing the importance of advocating for changes when side effects become unbearable.

50mg CBD capsules with no THC in them for pain and anxiety. No side effects or organ damage.

Lyrica, Effexor, and Folbee (a folate RX). I couldn't tolerate Gabapentin... but my cat takes it for chronic cystitis! 🙀

Duloxetine made me feel sick, dry mouth, constipated but the main one was sleepy. So bad I slept for 13+ hours at night then was up for 15mims before been ready for bed again, slept for 3 hours naps all day and this isn't me I don't sleep. This happened after 1 tablet of 30mg, I continued for 10 days hoping the side effects would subside but nope they got worse, they didn't even work in that time for me pain 😢
