Don't know if this is fibro or not. Currently suffering badly with Costochondritis and have been for months now, had it for years but this flare is bad. But this weekend the pain, shooting and pinching in my left breast is ridiculous. It's making me feel sick

Members rallied around someone experiencing severe breast pain alongside a costochondritis flare, sharing their own experiences with similar sharp, shooting pains that many described as fibromyalgia-related, especially during mammograms which several members found almost unbearable. Several members offered potential explanations including fibrocystic breasts, deep tissue cysts, and inflammation from costochondritis itself, along with practical suggestions like warm compresses and avoiding caffeine, while emphasizing the importance of advocating for proper medical examination when pain persists. The original poster updated the community that after insisting on being seen by a trusted doctor who found two lumps, she was placed on a cancer pathway but ultimately received the all-clear, with her symptoms confirmed as inflammation and swelling from costochondritis requiring steroid injections.

So I spoke to a different GP today about this, didn't want to but mine wasn't available until 8th March according to the rude receptionist without even knowing what the concern was said it was routine. Anyway, the GP said Costochondritis doesn't spread to your breast, but then didn't give me any answer as to what or why I'm in so much breast pain. Didn't even examine me, so thats another moan tomorrow, because I've honestly had enough of them, their are 2 GP's who I feel like listen, and surprisingly both male, 1 I've known since all my fibro problems started nearly 9 years ago and 1 I've known for just a year. The rest are a waste of space and they wonder why I only what to speak to these 2 ever!. Just thought I'd let you all know what I'd been told so far.

You might have cysts in your breast s causing the pain .there is no treatment but they say if you avoid caffeine this will help. I do not find avoiding caffeine helps.

Not old enough for a mammogram yet. But the breast pain has been really bad this weekend, I will bring it up with my gp next time I speak with him, just in case.
