I put heat on my chest as well. The biggest thing is to not put any stress on any part of your body or over do it with any part of your body. My body is in a flare most of the time, so putting any undo stress on it would cause me way too much pain. I have to baby my body as not to cause any undo pain. Hugs and prayers. God bless.
Hi Lisa I always use Vicks vapour rub and ibroprofen really helps.Hope it eases soon 🤗🥰
I always thought it was my heart, until others started talking about it here. I have episodes of irregular heartbeats, since my early 30's. The CC made me think, this is it, my heart is going to blow up!
Every once in a while I wonder, seriously, what is the true cause of Fibro. It just hits me, like there is an answer. It's staring us in the face. It has become so widespread, to people of all walks of life. Then, what is it we all have in common? If I put together a crazy questionaire, in search of commonality. 1. Would you participate? 2. In the open forum here or via email?
3. Add, any thoughts you may have to this survey. Which would work better in the open forum.
I think, that other people wonder the same, when a thought pops in to your head. And you want to pursue an answer. We know better than any physician or psychiatist, the answers to questions that are never asked. We already swap stories of our symptoms, which many of us have, but with all the symptoms of the illness, we don't bring it up. Reading a post here, and it hits us, and we think, oh Yeah! Me too! This, already, pain in the ass disease, is further complicated, and may very well, trigger additional symptoms, based on other diseases.
Sorry Lisa. Heat stopped working so I switched to ice. It’s helped a lot. And no bra for awhile.🤦🏻♀️ I use cbd ointment ...or Vick’s Vapor-rub. Funny but it’s really helpful. Can you take anti inflammatory like Advil etc? I can’t, but others say that helps a lot.
Hi Lisa, Sorry it has taken me so long to answer your question on the TENS device. I have 2 different ones, but all you need to do is put the adhesive pads directly close to the area that is worrying you - one on either side. You may need to adjust these as you use the device, as the vibration needs to go through the entire area - or the worst of it. When I have it, and this is something that crops up a lot, I can have it in differing places at differing times. So of course you place the adhesive pads where they give the best vibration and the best frequency also, of course. Both my devices turn themselves off after about 15-20 minutes and I can put the device in a pocket and walk around with it going, and no one but me knows - well I don't think they know. Have used it while going to Church for example.
Sometimes after I have removed the TENS device I will apply a heat ointment or Vicks (which works well) even a normal muscle relaxant, and try to rest. Not always possible to do all 3, but best of luck with this. Its a nuisance, eh?
